As part of its long-standing tradition of honoring distinguished members with solo exhibitions, GEDOK Berlin presents the work of Berlin-based painter **Eva Moeller**. The exhibition continues the association’s commitment to highlighting influential artistic positions within Berlin’s cultural landscape while honoring the vision of GEDOK founder Ida Dehmel: to secure a lasting place for women artists in public cultural discourse and to make their work visible, accessible, and open to discussion. In this anniversary year, the exhibition also invites reflection on how far this vision has been realized today. At 84, Eva Moeller looks back on a remarkable and independently developed body of work. Alongside her artistic practice, she spent decades teaching art courses at the adult education center in Berlin-Steglitz. Her work is deeply connected to the city of Berlin, which serves as a point of departure for her exploration of space, movement, and perception. Drawing inspiration from everyday observations, Moeller has developed a distinctive visual language that brings together architecture, urban dynamics, and atmospheric impressions. Her paintings transform the visual density of contemporary life into vibrant, condensed compositions. Echoes of early modernism coexist with a keen and contemporary perspective on life in the city.
