Kurt Mühlenhaupt Museum, Fidicinstraße 40, 10965, Berlin
September 11, 2026 – January 10, 2027
Amnon David Ar and Kurt Mühlenhaupt – two artists who have never met and yet ask the same question: How do you paint life as it is? The exhibition presents new works by Berlin-based painter Amnon David Ar in dialogue with works by Kurt Mühlenhaupt. Ar looks at the overlooked and finds beauty in childhood objects, toys, people at home and their routines – directly, without distance, with an eye for the magic of the everyday. Mühlenhaupt painted 20th century Berlin with the same honest attitude. His work forms the historical resonance space for Ar's works in the Kurt Mühlenhaupt Museum: Two artists from different eras, united by the question of what it means to find beauty in everyday life. The exhibition opens with a concert by pianist Yehuda Inbar.
