›painting the path‹, a dialogue between Kim Chong Hak and Andreas Eriksson, brings together new works by the artists at neugerriemschneider. Both are oriented in their pictorial approaches to the rhythms of nature and transfer these to different generational, political, geographical and cultural backgrounds in compositions that oscillate between figuration and abstraction. With emotionally and formally balanced paintings, they have become chroniclers of the mountains of their home — Kinnekulle in Sweden, where Eriksson set up his studio in 2002, and Seoraksan in South Korea, where Kim has lived and worked since 1979. In the exhibition, the artists, who are at different crucial points in their careers, show the remote landscapes of their regions in constant change, from vibrating colours to still, inverted moments.
