Ortuzar presents *Claire Falkenstein: San Francisco, Paris, Rome*, the gallery’s first exhibition of the American artist’s work. The show follows Falkenstein’s practice from San Francisco to postwar Paris and Rome, bringing together about twenty works in materials such as copper, glass, iron, aluminum, plastic, wood, and clay. Across these pieces, Falkenstein pursues her lifelong aim to “break up the volume” by opening sculpture to space, movement, and transparency rather than enclosing it. At the heart of the exhibition are the *Suns*, which she considered the fullest expression of her work: interwoven metal webs built from brazed intersections that can appear dense or airy, solid or open. Highlights include *Sun #11* (1957), shown publicly for the first time in nearly seventy years, and the suspended *Sun #14* (1958), which explores tension, weight, and delicacy through copper tubing and wire.
