Coda: Wiederaufführung einer Ausstellung

Of the more than one hundred works on display in the original exhibition Music in the Visual Arts of the GDR, about fifty are once again gathered at KVOST – Kunstverein Ost. All but one of them come from the ifa depot in Stuttgart, where the graphic works of the Centre for Art Exhibitions (ZfK) of the GDR are now stored. Coda: Reproduction of an exhibition is part of the exhibition series Publik Machen: On the work and work of the Center for Art Exhibitions of the GDR. Publik Machen examines in six chapters the work of the Center for Art Exhibitions of the GDR (ZfK), whose graphic collection was transferred to the ifa in 1991. The ZfK combined state cultural policy with international exchange and today opens up new perspectives on the relationship between art and politics. The project takes place in cooperation with ifa-Galerie Berlin, Schloss Biesdorf, KVOST – Kunstverein Ost, Prater Galerie and Galerie im Turm as well as robotron-Kantine in Dresden.
