The exhibition "Five Centuries of Works on Paper: The Grunwald Center at 70, Part II" celebrates the 70th anniversary of the UCLA Grunwald Center for the Graphic Arts, showcasing its evolution since its founding in 1956. The Grunwald Center, now housing over 45,000 works on paper, including prints, drawings, photographs, and artists' books from the Renaissance to the present, emphasizes learning and discovery through its collection. This exhibition features over 70 significant works by renowned artists such as Albrecht Dürer, Edgar Degas, Pablo Picasso, and Kara Walker, reflecting the collection's breadth and diversity. The selected pieces highlight the historical and artistic significance of the Grunwald Center's holdings, which have been enriched through donations and acquisitions over the decades. The exhibition is presented at the Hammer Museum, where the Grunwald Center has been located since 1994.
