Fuego Camina Conmigo showcases an archive of nearly 10,000 lobby cards saved by a cinephile projectionist in Colombia, which were typically destroyed after a film's run. The exhibition features a unique edition of 300 numbered books, each containing original silver gelatin lobby cards paired with risograph-printed frames from films depicting fire. As viewers turn the pages, the images momentarily coexist, creating a fleeting visual interplay. Accompanying the Spanish edition is a matchbook containing a translated reflection on cinema and fire. For ICP’s Book on the Wall series, La Bruja Ediciones and Ediciones Réplica have transformed the publication into an installation that includes original movie posters, photographs, and risograph prints, along with a projection of fire scenes from films. This modular wheat-pasted mural emphasizes the circulation, persistence, and afterlife of images, inviting contemplation on their significance.
