GAIA RECODE is a participatory, cross-media art project that refuses to treat ecological destruction as a natural phenomenon. At its core lies a clear political position: the devastation of the earth is inseparable from patriarchal, capitalist, and anthropocentric structures of power — and art has a responsibility to say so. Anne Eck, Daniela Luschin, and Nicola Heim bring together three distinct practices — painting, textile, music, performance, and language — not to offer solutions, but to open space. Space for resistance. For perspective shifts. For transformation that begins in the body before it reaches the mind. GAIA RECODE understands the earth not as backdrop or resource, but as a political subject. And it understands art the same way: not as decoration, but as act.
