Hamburger Bahnhof - Nationalgalerie der Gegenwart, Invalidenstraße 50, 10557, Berlin
September 11, 2026 – September 11, 2026
Supra-regional visibility, demographic change and politically charged times present museums with similar challenges. On 11 September 2026, Hamburger Bahnhof will bring together representatives of museums from the federal states around Berlin for five panels. The symposium is dedicated to city marketing, the role of local art scenes, museums as discourse spaces, audience strategies and art education. It discusses how cultural identity can be communicated without codifying it, how institutions can promote local production and social participation, and how museums can act as places of exchange in polarized times. The Hamburger Bahnhof Art Week Talks thus create a space for networking between museums, cultural institutions and artists from Berlin and neighbouring regions. The participants include Marion Ackermann, Till Fellrath, Jenny Graser, Barbara Steiner, Ulrike Kremeier and Sarah Alberti.
