Horizontal—ein interdisziplinäres Festival über das Liegen

The two-day festival ›Horizontal‹ is dedicated to the manifold facets of lying posture. In performances, workshops, lectures and discussions, international artists, activists and researchers open up new approaches to horizontality as a political practice, historical trace and physical experience. The focus is on questions about which forms of perception, action and coexistence can arise when bodies evade the imperatives of performance and productivity and question them critically. In conjunction with the exhibition ›Horizontal — Das Krankenbett und die Welt im Liegen‹, the festival expands its contributions to performative, participative and discursive formats. This creates a common space in which horizontality can be experienced as a shared practice. The program includes Harold Offeh, Black Power Naps, Raquel Meseguer Zafe, Ania Nowak and Anajara Laisa Amarante.
