JORDY KERWICK – THIS TIME TOMORROW

KÖNIG GALERIE, Alexandrinenstraße 118-121, 10969, Berlin

July 17, 2026 – September 2, 2026

KÖNIG GALERIE presents "THIS TIME TOMORROW," an exhibition by Australian-born, France-based artist Jordy Kerwick, located in the Vault of St. Agnes. Inspired by The Kinks' 1970 song, the exhibition explores the uncertainty of the future through a series of recent oil and acrylic paintings. Kerwick transforms everyday motifs and fleeting impressions into vibrant narratives, using vivid colors like greens, magenta, vermilion, and mauve, alongside elements such as water and familiar surroundings. His works feature recurring themes of animals, plants, masks, and hybrid figures, blending domestic scenes with dreamlike imagery and allegory. The paintings, characterized by saturated colors and dynamic patterns, navigate the space between observation and invention. In Kerwick's vision, the ordinary is reimagined, making the everyday theatrical and prophetic. "THIS TIME TOMORROW" invites viewers to sense the future as an extension of the present, shaped by fleeting encounters and a deep engagement with daily life.
