‘tracks, taps’ explores the interweaving of desire and exhaustion in a world saturated with images. The focus is on the changeability of the image; The exhibition brings together Mia Gap (1993, Germany) and Freja Sofie Kirk (1990, Denmark). Their different image strategies are based on disassembly, exposure and concealment. Mia Gap sees digital everyday life as a dynamic structure that eliminates geographical distance and linear time. Using painterly, photographic and sculptural techniques, she translates digitally designed scenarios into physical objects and explores the unstable boundaries of authenticity, reality and simulation. In photography and video, Freja Sofie Kirk examines the inner mechanisms of images and their interaction with everyday life. Her works revolve around power, architecture, commodities, fetishism and the choreography of work, making visible how media shape social relationships and routines.
