On Landscape

Haus am Lützowplatz, Lützowplatz 9, 10785, Berlin

September 11, 2026 – January 3, 2027

The exhibition asks how artists today look at nature in the face of climate change, overpopulation, littering and unbridled digitization. International positions are renegotiating landscape in the field of tension between ecological, technological and social issues. The focus is on the congestion of global resources in the Anthropocene and the growing power of the digital, especially artificial intelligence. Landscape never appears as a neutral image, but as a cultural construct and projection surface – from the idealised idyll and the romantic sublime to the exploited economic and cultural space. The works address ecological guilt, human longing for arcadia, and the question of what happens when landscapes emerge from algorithms, data, and AI-generated simulations.
