The Chaos Collage Club presents RE:CONNECT THE SHAPES – an investigation of connection as an active, haptic experience. Our collective of five international artists unites different visual languages in a common working space. By exchanging ideas and materials, we dissolve individual boundaries and transform loose fragments into a cohesive form of coexistence. By means of analog collage, we build bridges between our different backgrounds and make our processes a shared space of opportunity. For 48h Neukölln, this project is a collective journey of discovery. We combine excerpts from print media and link thoughts like puzzle pieces to a new shared reality. Our work is structured along the movement between IN, SIDE and OUT: IN stands for our inner truths and emotions; OUT for the external media world that forms our raw material; SIDE is our common ‘intermediate space’ – the cutting edge where fragments merge and new meanings emerge. This output eventually returns to the OUT (the exhibition space) and becomes part of the world that originally influenced us. In RE:CONNECT THE SHAPES, cutting is not an act of separation, but an essential tool of connection. We invite visitors to experience this process up close: Through a participatory work of art, the audience can cut out and re-combine shapes themselves. In this way, art can be experienced as a living, open system that develops through co-creation. At the cutting edge, the exhibition turns into an experimental field where boundaries flow. We create new realities – built from old images, shared values and the radical act of coming together.
