Wolfram is a musician with a visual mind. For the residency’s third edition, his video work “Scirocco” has been adapted for projection onto a large glass pane, opening out towards the public space of Potsdamer Straße. The piece depicts young men in a perpetual loop of dance-floor ecstasy, set to the wind flow of the eponymous track. During Studio IIII’s summer break, the installation therefore forms a subtly off-kilter trompe-l’œil, echoing past and future collective heat and movement.
