June 12, 2026 – October 3, 2026
Gagosian presents TILL DEATH DO US PART, an exhibition of new works by Sterling Ruby, at the Galerie de la rue de Castiglione in Paris. This exhibition includes cast bronze collages and sculptures, highlighting the use of flowers as raw and iconographic material. Inspired by Ruby's workshop garden in Vernon, California, and her time spent in the Eastern Sierras, the installation creates an immersive floral vibe. The prints of the GHOSTS series (2026), visible through the windows, line the walls of the gallery with deep blue linear marks. The collages, combining cyanotypes and drawn elements, are hung above these blue fields. The unique bronze sculptures from the Bound Flowers series. Couple. (2025–) represent pairs of bound flowers, evoking complex relationships and marriage. Ruby also refers to 17th century Flemish still life painting, where floral arrangements symbolize the impermanence of life.
