Geary is pleased to present Lobitos: Pueblo Fantasma (Lobitos: Ghost Town), a solo exhibition by photographer, Summers Moore, on view August 1-September 27, 2026. Lobitos: Pueblo Fantasma showcases a compelling look at the life of a small Peruvian fishing village that has undergone many identities. In the 19th century, Lobitos was a booming oil town under colonial rule, then became a military outpost, eventually becoming a semi-abandoned ghost town inhabited by surfers, healers, and artists living amongst deteriorating historic buildings and military barracks. This exhibition encompasses Moore’s interest in exploring the many facets of healing and community building visible through photography.
