Thu-Van Tran – Write As Beasts Scream at Night

Thu-Van Tran (*1979 in Ho Chi Minh City, lives in Paris) makes connections in her work to political interdependencies of countries and to colonial heritage, the traces of which are still visible in many places, in language, bodies and landscapes. In the KINDL, the artist presents the latest works, some of which have been specially developed for the exhibition, including ceramics, painting and drawing, which refer to the ecological and traumatic consequences of colonialism in Vietnam and Australia and their resonances in Europe. Write As Beasts Scream at Night calls on the forces of resistance of nature, which quietly but persistently revolt against human injuries.
