Xavier Le Roy – Temporary Title, 2026 – In the Middle, Somewhat Rehearsed

Temporary Title, 2026 is a rehearsal for rooms that visitors can freely enter and leave and in which they can determine their own length of stay. The performers go through a series of metamorphoses that change both their presence and space, creating different forms of togetherness. The choreography unfolds an impressive situation in which movement, sculpture, materiality and noise make the shared presence in space tangible. Xavier Le Roy, who holds a doctorate in molecular biology, has been working as an artist since 1991 and is a professor at the Institute of Applied Theatre Studies in Giessen. His experimental works are motivated by questions about the understanding of movement and the desire to change our understanding of dichotomies such as human and non-human, subject and object.
