"Fleisch" examines the human condition through the body as material — prior to identity, morality, or social construction. Flesh emerges as both origin and contradiction: vital yet decaying, seductive yet repellent, intimate yet violent. The exhibition unfolds within a field of tension — between birth and slaughter, desire and disgust, sacrifice and consumption. Flesh operates simultaneously as body and commodity, impulse and ritual: a site where vulnerability and power converge. It rejects symbolic distance and demands direct confrontation. The artists engage materiality without retreating into metaphor. Their works inhabit the unstable boundary between object and organism, between what is touched and what, in turn, touches us. "Fleisch" probes the threshold between matter and meaning: Where does material end, and meaning begin? When does the body become image — and when does the image become wound? Its force lies in its transience. Flesh activates memory, instinct, and unease, insisting on a simple, uncomfortable fact: life is inseparable from decay, and desire is never far from dissolution. This is not an exhibition that aestheticizes or contains. It exposes — with equal intensity in tenderness and brutality — something fundamental and irreducible. To enter this space is not to find safety. It is to confront oneself.
