Trinity College Dublin graduate Dr Amelia McConville holds a transdisciplinary PhD in Visual Poetry and Visual Poetics with Neurohumanities. Her pioneering doctoral research, jointly supervised by the School of English and the Institute of Neuroscience, was supported by the Irish Research Council’s Government of Ireland Postgraduate Scholarship. She previously earned a first-class honours BA in English Literature and Philosophy from Trinity College Dublin in 2017. Her work consistently explores the intersection of science, literature, and society. Throughout her academic career, she has taught students of diverse ages and backgrounds in the fields of literary modernism, contemporary Irish literature, and poetry studies. She is currently involved in European research initiatives with DARIAH-EU and is based in Berlin.
