The exhibition "Masonic Objects: The Relic Room" showcases a collection of documents, photographs, and Masonic paraphernalia from the Scottish Rite Masonic Temple, preserved in the renovated Masonic library. Following the Masons' departure from the Wilshire Boulevard temple in 1994 due to zoning issues, a trove of fraternal objects was left behind, including books and photographs of past lodge members. Notable items include silk and satin banners that identified specific lodges, reminiscent of medieval pageants and imbued with fraternal pride. These banners, embroidered with Masonic emblems in gold and silver braid, were used in both lodge ceremonies and public spectacles, adding a festive element to rituals. The exhibition also highlights materials related to the Masons' secret theatrical performances, which served as a means of ethical instruction and spiritual self-improvement as members advanced through the degrees.
