›Recording the Gaze +‹ records the photographic artistic view as an interpretation and construction of images. The works do not try to simply understand or depict reality, but produce it through a conscious, understanding look. In a present dominated by digital images, algorithms, AI and influencers, the exhibition draws attention to photography as an instrument of individual and social observation. Especially the female gaze focuses on the self-efficacy of the motif and opens up other perspectives. Composition and staging become the means of designing a unique photographic view. In the temporal process, the initially distanced information content changes in favor of a creative-emotional image; the moment found acquires a meaning that points beyond the objective representation. This creates a discursive space and at the same time an insight into the Hackelsberger Collection.
