Galerie Nordenhake, Lindenstraße 34, 10969, Berlin

September 10, 2026 – October 24, 2026

The group exhibition brings together works by Karin Mamma Andersson, John Coplans, George Grosz, Edvard Munch, Benjamin Orlow, Frida Orupabo, Sophie Reinhold and Michael Schmidt. It examines how hidden experiences and inner realities become visible as ‘symptoms’ in images, materials, gestures and spaces. The exhibition approaches this concept not as a representation of a hidden reality, but as a phenomenon that emerges together with an underlying condition. Benjamin Orlow's monumental sculptures refer to classical sculpture, rituals and mythology; its fragmented bodies, especially in Ritual City, embody continuous transformation. Munch, Grosz and Coplans address the body as a carrier of psychic experience, loss, age and vulnerability. Andersson and Schmidt transform interiors, landscapes and cities into psychological spaces of memory, history and political division.
