The association KunstHaus Potsdam e.V. is based in the former horse hospital of the Garde-Ulanen-Kaserne. In 2000, the artists Hubertus von der Goltz and Frank Michael Zeidler acquired the disintegrated buildings and converted them into a place of art on their own initiative. The original plant structure was restored in 1869 and 1924. The now listed ensemble houses an exhibition hall and artists' studios.
